just here to hurt your feelings tbh

“A gambler, a convict, a wayward son, a lost Grisha, a Suli girl who had become a killer, a boy from the Barrel who had become something worse.”
The Crows at the beginning of Six of Crows and at the end of Crooked Kingdom. I wanted to draw hands and it grew into something more. The designs are inspired by both the show and the books.

“I have a vibranium arm“
“… and i can fly, who gives a shit?!”

So I’m halfway through Crooked Kingdom. And I just wanted to say that the thing that impresses me the most about the Six of Crows duology is how Bardugo absolutely commits to misdirection as a theme. Like the crew’s marks she hits the reader where they’re not looking and it’s great.
My fav example is Wylan. About halfway through Six of Crows I felt like I had figured out why his father disowned him. I picked up on the flirting between him and Jesper and I was like I got this. I was convinced that his father caught him with another guy or maybe he just up and told him or something. But I was so sure this was about his sexuality. I won’t spoil what the actual reveal was, but I was blown away. It made so much sense in retrospect, but I had totally missed all the signs in my smug reassurance that I knew what was going on here.
And she keeps doing this. I’m both looking for the misdirection and getting suckered by it every time and it is amazing.

I’m watching New Moon and all I can think of is how much I liked Bella and Jacob’s relationship as friends. They supported each other, cared for each other and made each other feel better. There could have been a conflict with Jacob wanting Bella to stay human without the love triangle. It was unnecessary and made Jacob creepy.

Alec: Why are there little handprints on the wall?
Magnus: *turns to Max* Why are there little handprints on the wall?
Max: I have little hands
Magnus: He has little hands
